    If you’re looking to visit Yellowstone, there’s no shortage of guides in the area, but no one does it like Drew does. Great lodging and food, nothing better than having a private vehicle to take you in and out of the park, and most of all, great camaraderie. Drew was personable, knowledgeable and fun to shoot with. Our experience with Drew visiting South Africa for a photo safari was amazing! 

Preparation - Drew made himself available for phone calls to get us situated logistically and to answer questions about gear and clothing, etc. It was our first time visiting Africa and we needed some handholding!
Logistics - easy! We were picked up at the airport, delivered to a driver, and taken to a location in Johannesburg to wait for our flight into Hoedspruit.  All of our internal domestic flights were taken care of as well as all ground transfers- we were just told what time to be ready!

The Safari - Of course this was the main part. Drew managed all of the communications with our drivers, making sure that we got the most out of every drive. We always waited for opportunities for the best shots, whether it was the action of a hunt or the perfect light on a grazing group of elephants. Drew is great at anticipating animal behaviors. Not only are you learning how to shoot on safari but learning how to make the next shot even better. Technical tidbits, composition recommendation and light management all in the moment. The drivers were so accommodating and told fantastic stories, keeping us entertained the whole time. We were always comfortable in the cool mornings and evenings with cold weather accoutrements and plenty of hot coffee and snacks. Not to mention the amazing sunsets that were of course enhanced with sundowner breaks. 

The sleeping arrangements - awesome! In our two locations we had lovely accommodations with more luxury than imagined. Comfy beds, turndown service, and the soothing sounds of hyenas and lions to lull us to sleep at night :)

The food - I can't even begin with the food! Incredible. And SO much of it. Giant breakfasts and snacks and lunch and afternoon tea...and the most incredible game meat like ostrich and springbok.
